Consulting with government agencies and software companies for the Modeling, Simulation, and Training (MS&T) sector of government/military training and education, computer and videogame console industry, wireless entertainment, and coin-operated industry. Work includes reviewing technology, business models and P&L modeling, developing game designs, strategic planning, outsourcing game development and art production in Eastern Europe and Asia, negotiating with independent software developers and game industry publishers, and project managing title development.

Notable recent projects include supporting DARPA's "DARWARS" Training Superiority program to help accelerate the Deptartment of Defense's efforts at Training Transformation and working within mainland China and South Korea to develop partnerships with US based developers.

Most recently assisted in the product planning, technology and development team selection for the DARPA DARWARS Ambush! project which has now been deployed (as of Sept 2004) to Iraq with the US Army "Stryker Brigade" based out of Fort Lewis, WA.

Lead the games group of 15 people (PM, Engineering, Test). Delivered $7 million internet gaming platform for Hasbro Interactive's GAMES.COM. Negotiated distribution and games licensing with developers, publishers, and other IP owners. Design and deliver the launch of Go2Net's gaming website, PlaySite.com. Develop Wireless and Interactive Television games strategy and implementation of cross-device gaming platform (PC, PDA, Wireless, and Set Top Boxes). Owned relationships with Verizon, AT&T, VoiceStream, Sprint.

Lead Program Manager | Microsoft
6/94 -8/00 | Redmond, WA

Lead Program Manager for MSN Companion Internet Appliance group, responsible for hardware OEMs and software relationships (owned the relationship with Compaq, Macromedia, and others). Manage the OEM PM team and manage the release of the Beta of the product.


Product Planning for MSN Gaming Zone (Zone.com) responsibilities included: launching new products and technologies for retail PC games with online/internet features, owning the relationships with Retail game publishers and developers (owned the relationship with LucasArts, Tom Clancy's Red Storm Interactive, Hasbro and others). Developed technology strategic technology plan, developing business cases and negotiating contracts for new products.


Program Manager for Windows Developer Relations Group, responsibilities included: negotiting development contracts, writing product specifications, managing the entire product development process from schedule, to budget, to milestones, managing outside development groups and coordinating launch with OEM group for 3 versions of the Windows Game Sampler from 1995 to 1998.


Games Technology Evangelist for Windows Developer Relations Group, responsibilities included: establishing the first relationships between Microsoft and the worldwide game industry (owned relationships with Electronic Arts, Sony, Sega, and others) to develop Microsoft Windows as a gaming platform, developing Windows market share in the game industry from 5% in 1994 to 95% by 1998 through the adoption of core DirectX game technologies. Developed strategic developer and consumer marketing programs, trade show and developer confrerence planning and execution and presentations for developers, executives and press.

Intelligence Operations for Air Rescue Service (Portland AF Reserve), HQ Air Rescue Service (McClellan AFB), 81st Tac Ftr Wing (RAF Bentwaters, UK). Prepare Intelligence briefings for Command Staff and Aircrews (Combat Search and Rescue, A-10 Close Air Support) including combat debriefing and analysis, Survival Evasion Resistance and Escape (SERE), enemy weapons systems capabilities, and Friend/Foe air/land/sea recognition training.
